Mary Gibbons

Mary has been consulting in the financial service industry since 1982. Receiving her Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Iowa State University, Mary went on to practice as a CPA in Ames for 15 years. In her practice, Mary worked with individuals and small businesses in the areas of audit, income tax, financial and estate planning. In 1997 she sold her firm to join her husband Jeff and focus exclusively on financial advisory services. Since that time they have worked as a team offering financial planning and investment advice to a select group of clients across the United States. The core belief of the practice is to offer advice and services that allow investors to meet the needs of challenging, ever changing landscapes. Whether the challenge is from market environments, decisions about retirement or how to care for a loved one – the team mission at Trend Financial is to provide strategies for the process.
Mary is active in the community. In addition to serving on the board of the Gilbert Education Foundation, she is also an active member of the Ames Noon Rotary. Mary is Past President of the Ames Charter Chapter of American Business Women (ABWA) and was honored as the 2002 Women of the Year. She is also past president of the Northcrest Foundation. Mary has also served on the board for Northcrest Inc., The Octagon Center for the Arts, The Octagon Endowment, Altrusa International and Saint Cecilia Parish.
Mary and Jeff are the parents of 5 children. In addition to civic, professional and church activities Mary and Jeff are active with their children in many youth athletic and church programs.
